Online exhibition – Gidsken Jakobsen

She could live a safe life as an office lady in her father's company in Narvik. Instead, Gidsken Jakobsen became Norway's second female pilot. She took her pilot's license in 1929, founded three airlines and ran a multifaceted business with her own planes for seven years.

Online exhibition – Yellow 3

This exhibition follows Yellow 3’s ditching at sea, the search to find it and the rebuild of the aircraft at the museum. You will learn more about the pilot, the type of aircraft and the war of which it was a part. Finally, this is a story about friendship between people across the divides of war.
